A: TEN WORD TESTS

A1
A typed word is counted as any five keystrokes.

A2
This includes the Shift key, space or punctuation.


A3
Ten words are a total of fifty consecutive strokes.


B: FIFTEEN WORD TESTS

B1
Do not stop to correct your errors in these first tests but check them out.


B2
Work to correct your weaknesses. Practise typing them correctly six times.


B3
Completing a 15 word test correctly in one minute equals 15wpm gross speed.


C: TWENTY WORD TESTS

C1
The beautiful scenic country of New Zealand is situated in the South Pacific to the east of Australia.



C2
New Zealand consists of three main islands: North Island, South Island and the smaller Stewart Island.



C3
People travel between North and South Islands by plane or InterIsland passenger and vehicle ferries.




D: TWENTY-FIVE WORD TESTS

D1
The ferry crosses Cook Strait and cruises beautiful Queen Charlotte Sounds between Wellington, NZ's Capital City, and Picton.



D2
The Cook Strait crossing (named after Captain James Cook) takes about three hours. Some crossings are calm, others very choppy.

The splendour of Queen Charlotte Sounds, like Fiordland in Western Southland in the South Island, is an amazing place to visit.
